Do those big, hairy pigs taste good???
That is why hog hunting is good in Iran, people are tightly restricted in firearms ownership. If it was like in the Philippines where loose/illegal military(M16, M14, M2, M1) weapons profiligate & no wildlife laws are enforced, those wild boars will be history. The wild boars in the Philippines are small(80-100 lbs.) & look very much alike & are the size of the Javelina here in the Southwest U.S. They do not develop the shoulder shield like those boars here. The skin is thin & after thorough cleaning can be roasted & are crispy. Those Black Forest/Russian/Iranian wild boars are big!!! larrysogla.

The big ones don't taste that good, but still make a very good roast. In Iran, the forest parts are where the big ones are, but once you are in the drier mountain parts the pig size tend to be much smaller (but still bigger than the average size we find here) and taste much better.

Awesome tusks on those piggies curling all the way up. Do your relatives use dogs?? bait?? lure?? How do they track & find these fast moving piggies?? I seem to read somewhere that they were using a .270 rifle. Were those your relatives??

Those are my relatives and also my long time hunting buddies. I don't remember what they used on these hogs. But in our group of hunter we have 7mag, 06, and a 270, so either one could of been used.

We don't bait, there is no need for it. The hogs are all over the place. As for dogs, sometimes the local farmers want to tag along and they bring their dogs, but nothing especial.

Oh my gosh!!! My saliva just drooled all over my computer!!! Big, hairy, nasty tusked, fast moving hogs!!!! running all over the place & the Muslim inhabitants leaving them alone & making it just right for a rifle hunter to bag 'em. WOW!!!!
