Thieving Trespasser - on video!

A couple weeks ago I put up a post about how some dirtbag stole two trail cameras from my property in Lake County. I immediately hid a couple of cameras on the property while I ordered a few more. Today I got up there to chase hogs and put up the new cameras and lo and behold I've already got a video of the dirtbag! It's very brief and he's looking away so not much help in identifying him but I figured I'd post it anyway. I was surprised to see it wasn't a hunter, but rather looks like a guy out for a monday stroll (with a backpack to carry away anything he finds!).

Not only did he trespass and steal, but he also took down a couple of No Trespassing signs that I'd put up in the area I suspected he was coming in from.

Back to hogs… here's another video of a big group of hogs in the same spot. I busted them today around noon and they took off before I could get a shot.

A friend and I are taking a group of Boy Scouts to the ranch this weekend - hopefully one will get a hog! It's a shooting Crew that we've been training to hunt for big game.

I hope that you catch guy who took your stuff. Keep in mind you may have more than one guy that's on your property. Also thanks for taking the time to get some youth out and showing a fading tradition, make them work for their stuff as much as you can so that they respect the sport as much as enjoy it.

Post a blown up photo of him with the words: REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST OF THIS TRESPASSER and tack it to a tree directly above a deadfall trap.

I was Scoutmaster for years, most rewarding volunteer work I've done, Venture Crew age is when it really starts to get fun, more opportunities to do exciting things like hog hunting. Good for you bisonic, keep up the good work and good luck this weekend!

that's real cool that you help the boys out. Have you ever thought of doing Purple Heart hunts. I think it would be supper nice to get some of the older guys out in the field for the fun and for the friendships of other vets. Keep up the good work and hope you find that punk on your land soon.

U know what Bruce know that u mentioned it when I blew up the stills I thought the same thing about his arm bening full sleeved up tatted too but wasn't sure. I noticed the back pack and it's hard to tell but is that his left arm behind him or a tool or something, he's is wearing a cap...tra

When things get stolen from me, I usually don't get as angry about the things that were stolen as as I do about the feeling of being stolen from. Add trespassing and I can only imagine how you feel about that guy! Get that SOB!

May make the guy easier to ID. I don't think anyone was saying he was a scum bag since he was tatted.

Thanks guys - I filed a report with the Sheriff and sent them the pictures that TRA posted. Also replaced a bunch of No Trespassing signs that were removed in the area I think he came in from and now have 5 nicely hidden cameras watching over the place. Will post any updated pictures I get of him. In the mean time, I guess the more time I spend up there the less likely to have trespassers... soulds like a good excuse to me!

Me and my Family being land owners of some awesome whitetail property back east we did not tolerate trespassing at all period unless u could really convince me u were lost. Just tryin to help a jho brother here, Tattoos make easy identification, no discrimination implied here, if anyone knows me I have very little room left for ink......lol .....tra
