Hit the road at 3:00 this morning and headed to a private ranch near Porterville for my third attempt in the past 4 mos. to put a hog down. This was my second trip to this ranch and my hopes were high. Spent most of the morning hiking the hills and glassing, spotted the first hog at 415 yards, considered a shot but it began moving so I made an attempt to cut it off as it headed over a gap but still a little on the slow side from a broken ankle I wasn't able to get there in time. Back to hiking and glassing, after about another hour as we were walking my buddy spots a hog at about 100yds. Agreeing that I would take the first hog he quickly pointed it out to me as I took a quick seat in hopes of using my elbows and knees as support. As I sat the hog began moving away and I had no choice but to take him at 120yds off hand with no rest, Hit her solid and dropped her. Props to my buddy for giving me the first shot as agreed
