America's most spectacular easy hike is open. The trails are largely clear of snow, and the views seem more eye-popping than ever. At Yosemite National Park, the trails to Sentinel Dome and Taft Point, towering over Yosemite Valley from the granite...

A few years ago 3 of us hiked from Touleme Meadows to the Valley - 33 miles in 3 days. September.
Dad wa 66 at the time, and my brother and I in our 40's.

The hike started at Touleme with gradual up hill and we camped the first night near Vougelsang pass. The next two days were basically a very slight downhill as we ventured down, along the upper Merced. OK fishing as we caught several small trout. We passed behind Half Dome and then made the last steep stretch. The last maybe 3 to 4 miles are steep downhill as you pass Nevada and Vernal Falls. We arrived in the Valley after 3 full days, hiked mostly downhill for over 30 miles, typically along running water, and had a great trip. This trail is well travelled but nothing like the day hikes from the Valley (Yosemite Falls, Glacier Point, Vernal/Nevada Falls trails).

Great memories.
