Whit and I went to the Tejon again this weekend and had a blast. We saw tons of deer and lots of piggies, but with a broken right hand, I didn't have any descent shots that didn't require a long drag out of the bottom of canyons.

Piggies coming out for play:

My favorite hunting partner who's getting her hunting license this Saturday!!:

I already took care of that; married last May!! She's one hell of a fisherman also, thanks to her mom.

Way to get on 'em, ND!

The bright side is, with that membership you've really got no hurry to get down there and whack one. Just find the one you want, where you want him, and then lay him on down!

XD Hunter, the pics were taken at about 500-600 yds.

We've seen quite a few pigs the past couple weekends, and your right Speckmisser, it's all about finding the right one. We saw a boar this weekend with balls the size of grapefruits. He was huge, but with that size comes wisdom; he took his crew and literally seemed to dissapear.

I told Whit that maybe we haven't had any luck yet because she is the one that is supposed to kill the first pig this year. So, we'll see how it goes once she has her license.

Look forward to seeing you and Steph at the NRA dinner also, bro! Is Steph looking forward to getting her license this weekend also?
PS: You were always my favorite hunting partner.

ND,
Looks like the burn area on the south side, good size pigs!

Good luck up there!

ND, sorry for not responding to your question on the other thread. Didn't want to hijack it. Glad to see your getting out.Good luck to the both of you on filling those tags. Say hello to your Dad/Mom, brother and his wife from me and my wife Jenn. We no longer have an explorer pass being of the logistics now with the move. I really miss that place and maybe will get a visit with my JHO brothers before too long. Good Luck again.

Hi Superduty,

I must have missed the thread about you moving. How's NV treating you? Have you found local spots to hunt yet?

It's been just over a year now and plenty of local spots to hunt minutes from the house. I've got afew kills actually in one of my back pastures. Those ground squirls make one heck of a mound/hole and create hazards for the horses that graze in the spring. I let one of the ranches free graze some head and she gives my wife and children saddle time/training. Just got my sons first hunting/fishing lic. this last weekend since he will be turning 12 on the 14th. I will be putting him in on all the youth draws this year along with my wife and myself. Pleanty of fishing and varmit hunting everywhere but NV has no OTC tags on the big game. The deer are like flies around here producing some reall quality trophies. No pigs though. :[

Hey bro, I think stef is excited about the hunter safety course, she just won't admit it. I haven't told her yet, but mom and dad are going to watch rylee so I can go with you guys, don't say anything to her.

Ditto on the hunting partner, that is why it was so awesome sitting in the duck blind a couple of times this year with you.

Hey Superduty (Dave),
Long time no talk. I too must have missed the whole thing about the move also. Glad to hear you and the family are doing well. Stef and I (and Rylee - now 2.5 yrs) are doing well. Stef is going to get her license this weekend with Scott's wife, so now the whole dang gang can do the blasting.

Hope things continue to go well for you guys. Good luck with the youth draws, I hope he gets a couple.

Jason
