THREE DOWN..pics added

My bro called me up on Saturday night and wanted me to hunt his private land in the morning. I said no because I dont get off until 1am and there is no way I am going to wake up at 6am. Well......I regret that because i got woken up at 7am to him telling me they had shot 3 hogs. Only took them 5 minutes of hunting. They said they saw about 24 pigs total. I had to help him get the 300lb boar in the back of the truck. We skinned em and cut em up, about 250 lbs of meat. It should last my family of 8 about 3 months. All shot with 12g slugs. Yeah i know the middle one looks like it had piglets but there was non in the heard.....shot at a run...my dad felt like crap afterward. at least she wasnt pregnant, nice string of pigs....all realy big bodied and ridge backed.. pics to come in a couple minutes.

Hell yah! Looks like your freezer is going to be full of pork chops and chorizo for a long time. Also, glad to see your new found honey hole is a winner. Keep it up. Judging by the way that middle sow is bagged up and trying to dry out, there should be another fresh round of pork to follow.

Plates??? JNDEER was referring to the gristle plate or armor shield on the shoulder and ribs of big boars that protect their vitals from slashing attacks by other big boars when fighting for females. Those gristle plates on a big boar are amazingly tough and resistant to hollow point pistol bullets.

i didnt even look.....bro skinned him, he was almost 300lbs. shot at 60yrds with a 20g slug, double lung. hes at the butcher for sausage n stuff. The wierd thing about him was he apparently broke his back leg...there was a huge bone buildup around the area that boke and the orininal bone was rotten in the middle. The bone was about 3" in diameter and solid. those pigs are resilient and relentless.
