Well, I don't know about all you other guys but up here shed hunting seems like a long way off right now. Our snows are pretty soft and A$$-deep on a 10' Indian. Even thinking about looking means putting on snow shoes. the coyotes up here may be having a field day with em. A couple weeks ago I was able to look a little in a harvested bean field and the snow was soft, relatively shallow and they were easily digging thru. Had a good 2' to 3' since then and I'm guessing they're feeding in the woods in and around the bedding areas which are in or near good overhead cover (hemlocks). I guess this is why the Iroquois called January to "time of the starving moon". On the other hand, the snow is still relatively soft and somewhat fluffy, so maybe they will still hit the beans and dig. Maybe check the field only and get lucky. What are the conditions where you guys are at?

We are dealing with below zero temps art night and highs in the single digits to low 20's. Last weekend we received about 1/2-3/4 inch of ice coating everything. It's still there, so hopefully the deer and other critters will pull through!

We are haveing the same weather here in Michigan.
I noticed that my food plot that has not been touched in a month was dug up BIG TIME this week!! They seem to be digging the turnips out of the ground now and they would not touch them befor even if I pulled a few up & laid them on the top.

They are hungry & food is hard to find for them now.
