It sounds like there are a few of you who are looking for sheds already. I have been itching to get out and start looking for sheds. I know the vegatation is disapearing and there will be some of last years sheds to pick up but I think it might be too early here in Nevada. Living in Nevada we only have the luxury of finding mulie sheds. I have heard it said that if you frequent an area to often you might actually push the dear out, especially mulies with their very large territories. I want to be able to return to all of my favorite spots a get the fresh ones but I dont want to push the dear out. Do any of you have similar problems or should I be out searching already before the snow comes.

I would think with all the open space in your mulie country it would be hard to pressure them too much.Go out and if you start bumping deer up back out.
I'm starting to get the fever, but I've already got snow laying and it's still early to be finding fresh drops.
Good luck this season!!

In my experiences this time of year deer do not move to much, especially if there is no hunting season at the time. If you are lookin in a new spot it does not matter what time of year you look since they will be all white and chalky anyway. However, if you are planning on looking for fresh sheds in this same spot I think it would be worth your time to just wait until February, unless you can convince yourself to walk the same area twice. Good Luck
