norcalihunter typically when running dogs the dogs will catch the hog. then one person will grab the hog by the hind legs and the other will leash the dogs and then shoot or stab the hog. when you grab the hog by both hind legs he will fuction like a wheelbarrow if he twists right you twist left and keep him on his side. you put the barrel within inches of his head or under the front shoulder. the hunt really isnt in the kill but in the chase and fight. its a real adrenaline rush to hear the dogs growling and the hog squealing and grunting. but the boy enjoyed the kill as both his brothers have brought home game and he has been begging to do it. dog hunting is my favorite way to hunt hogs but i would prefer to put my hands on the hog and let YOU shoot it.

Getting him started early is great! Too bad he's not old enough to
down a cold one after his first pig! Cathy
