Howdy All,
I read a lot about all the qualities people want in their binos, like power, brightness, clarity, fov and price. Not much on toughness & longevity. From what I've been told and experienced, that is something else that seperates your high end binos from cheaper ones. So I will give you my experience. I may have one of the oldest binos in the field today. More on that thought later. I picked up my Zeiss about 15 years ago. They were used. I have been useing them in the field weekly for the last 10 years. I have been useing them daily at work for about 3 years. They still out perform a lot of todays binos even though they don't have the coatings of the modern ones. And I think that is pretty good for glasses that were made back around 1936 :) Dang, did that sound like a brag? LOL.
