Forging evidence and collusion with another officer. Geez. Glad he's not a cop any more and I'm sure most cops would say the same.

All them tree-huggers they quoted must be telling the truth. I say why bother with a trial; just hang the scumbag.

You're right. Innocent until proven guilty so my comments are premature, but from what I read it doesn't sound good. His fellow officer who alledgedly helped with the poaching already plead guilty and is testifying against him. That's what I based my comments on, not on any quotes from the tree hugging nutters.

The guy Is probably as guilty as sin, but as Tom Jefferson said "The most honest part of the newspaper is the advertisments". As far as the other cop, my guess is the DA made a deal and the guy gets a slap on the wrist if he testifies against his buddy. Without the deal the other cop spends thousands on defense and if he loses he would be a felon and could never be a cop anywhere or even own a firearm.
