This one fared better than I thought it would: number 113 in SCI's next record book. Taken in the Eastern Cape of RSA. Found in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, RSA and Natal.

Me too Deerslam. I took this one in '06 right at dusk overlooking the Fish River. It was starting to rain, and I was heading back to the truck. We had been on foot all day and with darkness closing in, a fine mist began to fall. Two days earlier I had taken a 16" Cape Bushbuck not far from this spot. I rounded a bend in the dirt road and spotted this ram feeding along the edge of a Pineapple orchard. By the time he raised his head and spotted me, I was already in a sitting position and fired. He dove off into a deep, steep riverine valley but didn't go 40 yards.
