WildCalls2k coyote and Tule Elk sheds - great day on central coast of CA

My brother and I went up into Hunter Liggett Military Reservation to do a little calling today. The temperature on the first call sight was in the 20's, clear weather, no wind. No takers. From an elevated view we spotted what looked like a great place to try for a bobcat in the late afternoon, so we left and would return about 3:30 p.m. After a very careful and quiet approach we eased into position and started with the new WildCalls2k custom call. I was doing the calling on this spot and my brother was about 50 yards upwind. After my second series of calls, POW, he scores on a 27 lb. female that is gorgeous. I'll skin her out tomorrow morning and I think he wants to send off the skull for processing.
Now the good part:
In between morning stands and that evening stand, we changed areas to look for pig sign. Early in the afternoon, at now 70 degrees, we found 11 Tule Elk sheds on a hillside about 1/2 mile long. Most of these sheds were 6 or 7 point, some with broken tips, but nice and heavy beams. Two of the sheds were a year old, but the others were so fresh they still showed fresh blood on the bases. We found two deer heads with antlers attached, saw a bobcat and missed another opportunity coyote. What a beautiful day on the central coast.
I'll get the pictures taken tomorrow and will post in about a week.
Thanks Larry for the beautiful call that is now a veteran.

Awesome!!Sounds like you and your brother had one of those days the two of you will be talking about for years!! I would kill to harvest a bobcat, but then again 11 elk sheds in one day. Were any of the sheds a matched set? That would be the icing on the cake.
Post those pics and include sheds, bobcat and the two buck skulls.

Man, 11 elk sheds in one area and on one outing. Talk about a "Boneyard". I went nuts when I found 3 whitetail sheds in one field. I'd like to see the pics and hope you'll post em.
