turkey hunting with air rifles

I am trying to find info on hunting turkeys with air rifles in california, and the regulations state that they must be compressed air or gas. Does a spring-piston rifle constitute this? I would assume it would because it is still air moving the pellet.

Also, what air rifles seem to be the standard for turkeys?

.20 caliber and up for CA non-migratory game birds I have 2 pumpers a .20 cal Sheridan Blue Streak and a S&W .22 cal both are legal.
