I did too. I might even have swallowed some of it.

once again , everyone has there opinion, i again dont feel there is a need to force the people of
california to stop shooting lead, i dont think that banning lead is "the right thing to do" for the
same reasons that some of you folk think it is right to ban lead , so whats the deal ? should lead be banned?
i dont think so boss, i still think we should have the right to choose what we do here in california , so for those of you who really support this lead ban stuff, right back at you, there are many who dont and
we should be entitled to spread the word just like the people who do support the ban, its not
australia yet, but im sure were not far off, and yes i have written the cal.legislate about my feelings on lead.
i just hope nobody decides that it is for the good of us all that we cannot debate on a public forum, or this
to may disappear like the condor, now who,s on first base?

What you don't seem to get is that it isn't about your opinion any more, Hatchet. You're welcome to go on and on about how much you hate the ban, or the condors, or anything else, but it's too late for that.

The laws are being drafted. Tejon first, and then the military bases... the state will follow soon. My money says that before 2009, lead will be required at least in the "condor zone". Arizona won't be too far behind. The entire country will be moving away from lead by the time the second decade of the century has passed.

The time to raise cain was many years ago, when this whole lead ammo ban first came across the wires. But most hunters sat on their butts and grumbled to one another about some "anti-hunting" agenda, and about how it could never happen. Some actually got involved when it suddenly became clear that this lead ban had legs, but most still sat and grumbled amongst themselves. And here we are today.

You're welcome to your opinion, and welcome to put it out here ad nauseum, but what you don't seem to get is that it's no longer a matter of philosophical debate. Gripe and moan all you want to on JHO, but it's not changing a bloody thing.

Folks, yelling at one another on an Internet forum isn't "activism". The trenches are the commission meetings and public hearings. The battle is there, not in here.

On JHO, those who support the lead ban have stated their positions, and those who don't have stated theirs. Those key positions aren't going to change.

once again boss, this kind of grinding takes away from the great stuff we all share here on jho,
enough on lead from me, you all know my thoughts and those will never change,i,ll move on to
something that has a happier tone here on the sight, as i realize this is taking up way to much of my time.
i am not much of a debater , and thank you for enlightening me on the shortcummings of lead here in
kalifornistan.but in retrospect, i truly enjoy the fact that we can at least talk about our thoughts on this
issue without having our tongues removed
