I was close to a smallish to medium sized 5x5 about 4 years ago...not quite as close as the video clip there...about 7 yards and all I can say is I CANNOT begin to imagine what that guy was feeling with NO tree or bush between him and that huge bull. I had a good sized aspen between me & the bull--as it was, I thought my heart was going to beat right out of my chest! Plus, I was shaky as heck after holding my bow at full draw for a minute or so while the bull was eating...I had the antlers bobbing on the ground right out in front of me...could've kick its rack...lol!!!
