Utah Bull Pic

Out scouting for deer over 4th of July weekend in central Utah. Took this pic of a bull at almost dark and a ways off. It should shatter the state record. It is on public land. It is a 15 x 9.

Unfortunately I don't have a tag. The bull is in a draw only area for which I have been putting in seemingly forever. (11 bonus points). Hope has passed along some genetics before he is taken. His body is incredible also. He is truly a stud.

Yup your right on the unit. My cousin has the Governors deer tag. When we saw this bull it made him wish he had bought the bull tag instead. Would have been cheaper too.

I am camping out at Tropic Reservoir next weekend. If I somehow manage to find an undiscovered brute of a buck, I'll ping you for sure. It's way more likely there's a toad over in the Henry's but ya never know. I still recall that sweet 6 mm Rem barrel you had on the first annual JHO Tejon Pig hunt. If you know of any good varmitting spots out here while you're out here, I'd be more than happy to join up with you. Good huntin' this year.

My boss leases out Missouri Flats CWMU (part of his White Sage Ranch). I hear there are some good ones out there too this year--although, it looks like Monroe has the Pahvant beat out this year...

The 6mm Rem is now a .257 WSM. 100 grain TSX at 3600 fps. and 3/8" groups. I'm supposed to go out west of Fillmore sometime this year with another cousin who makes some pretty cool calls. Love hunting coyotes. Going to film it for the T.V. show.

that picture looks familiar. I'll bet I know where it is. There are some monsters there But I've never been aable to draw. 1 non-resident per year. Also I saw the Governor's tag deer shed. I believe it's in Moab , No? That's what I heard. The feed store in Moab is owned by the uncle of the 14 year old kid who has scouted the monster.
