Utah Elk

New member, I live in Utah and just drew limited entry for elk for the Fish Lake Thousand Lake area for Sept 12 hunt.

Anybody have experience with this area? I am an avid deer hunter and have deer hunted this area for years waiting to draw for elk. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Congrats and welcome! I just moved from Utah back to CA this year. I've only been on a quick drive through that area and don't have any good info for you. All I've heard is that there are some nice elk in that area.

My take from that trip was that Boulder Mt. should have been called Thousand Lakes and visa-versa...super fishing over there. Good luck and you'll no doubt have a great trip.
