VAFB deer season update

For those planning on hunting Vandenberg AFB in the next month or so. As it stands now deer season will be seven days a week. They have enough volunteers for now to cover the week. As you know, orange is mandatory as well as checking in and out. No restriction on ammo at this time. A lot of nice deer on the base this year, so good luck. Note: it is EXTREMELY dry out there; the hogs are starting to look a bit skinny and it's like walking on celery when you're hiking. Fire danger is the worst I've ever seen. Be careful! Be sure to check out the Rod and Gun Club for access to the walk-in cooler.

August 23: The entire base will reopen today except for Area 4 which opens tomorrow. Hunter numbers continue to be low with a correspondingly low harvest. Still seeing lots of bucks. Weather has been foggy and wet.

Hey myfriendis410 I got some stuff to as you in regards to vafb . i hunted up there while I was in the Usmc but now I am home in fla . anyhow my buddies just got back and I told them that there was a guy on jesses that lived nearby vafb. can we talk in email about a couple of things sir. if so my email is inshorespecial555@yahoo.com
