This sounds like the same situation one of our JHO member named "Boar Tracks" at Camp Roberts got into a while ago. Don't quite remember how that case turned out, but I am just glad Camp Roberts took the issue against only the individual who was involved.

What I don't understand is why VAFB blame it on the guest and terminated the guests program when the sponsor was the one getting the money to be donated away. I guess terminating the sponsors means terminating hunting completely at the base so the guests are to be blamed. That is plain insane imho.

By eliminating the guest program, or at least applying more oversight to it, it closes a loophole that can be exploited by people looking to profit by the system. I see nothing wrong with increasing the oversight as long as the issuing authority acts in a reasonable manner. I'm not sure that will be the case. Only time will tell.

The sad thing is, if the individual responsible had approached 30 SW, they would have been granted permission to go ahead.
