Excellent example of a Vandy hog . Congrats man great job! I shot one with the bow over behind the golf balls that looked like that a couple years ago.
Baboltin: shooting a .300 win. mag. right now, just to get trigger time with it. I normally use either an A Bolt Hunter in 7mm RM or a .50 Omega. I would really like to get one with a bow, but I haven't let an arrow go at one yet. Came to a draw on one, but decided that I didn't want to chase him through twenty foot tall manzanita.
Just 'cause I shot one half second before you did doesn't mean I have to listen to your crap the rest of my life. Good shot on that monster, by the way. I still haven't seen the mount. Why don't you put a picture up on this website? These guys would like to hear the story.
Even if you did shoot a dinky .45 to kill it......

How about tomorrow night for a hunt?

Yes you do, and I'm entitled to give you crap, just because. As for the story, it was on here already, but here is a pic of the mount.
288 lb boar taken on VAFB @ 118yds with a 45 cal CVA Optima Pro.
Here is the link to the original topic about the VAFB 288lb hog taken last year. You'll have to scroll a little to get to my reply and the story. Enjoy
I've been thinking of taking a week vacation and heading to Vandenberg for some pig hunting. Seeing that long haired pig is making it even more tempting.
A wooly mammoth would look some where in the house. Front room wall is full. gotta find space, I know what I'll hang in the bedroom on the wife side of the bed. Great idea. Dog house bound!!!lol
Great job on the boar richracer! He's a true trophy. The mount turned out great. I have seen pictures of that hog many times, always wondering who the lucky hunter was. Vandenberg is a great place to hunt I love it up there, I am up there frequently, if you see a gold ford ranger with a blacktail country sticker on the back say hello!
