I have a friend in the Army Reserves. He has been in the Army either active or as a reservist for over 20 years. He enlisted and then went to college and now is a major.
He actually liked Clinton and voted for him, yep I argued with him against it.
Anyway, I talked with him a month ago and he was telling me how terrible Clinton had been and how silly he was to vote for him.
My friend had been in Yugoslavia and Clinton had come out to visit. My friend said that all the troops had to leave all their weapons in the barracks and come out and see the President. My friend was outraged that here he was serving his country and the comander in chief is afraid of his own army trying to shoot him.
I don't know how other presidents have acted in front of their troops before but I was not surprised.
