Vandenburg Double

Well my dad and his buddy score again. They went out Wednesday evening with a friend who is home from Iraq for a couple more weeks. This guy had been wanting to score a big pig for a while, before he left, and he finally got his wish. Here's the outcome of their hunt.

The big boy dressed out at 208, and the smaller one at 120.

Doesn't matter what area my dad goes to this season, there's always a pig to be seen. This has been the most successful pig season that he's had.

I've been out with them quite a few times this season. Just never had the opportunity to shoot one myself. But been on a few hunts where someone in our group got one. And I think almost all the hunts I got to go on I saw a pig, or many pigs. Been pretty crazy season.

To your friend home from Iraq. Good luck...God speed. If he is stationed at Camp Liberty, there is some good fishing near the bombed out bridge leading into Saddam's palace, and near the DFAC on the "Z" lake for catfish and big carp. At night, try some chicken wings from midnight chow on a small hook and let it sit on the bottom. Hooah!

Between the ones that he's taken, his buddy has taken, and all the ones he's put people on... i think the count is 17. Or 19 now...? I can't remember if we came up with 17 before or after these two were shot. It's been a banner year for sure. I know i've never seen so many pigs in one season.
