Just wanted to share some pictures of a few pigs killed at Vandenburg this year by some hunting friends.

This bruiser was shot in November with a muzzleloader and dressed out at 208lbs.

This guy flew in from Kansas to go pig hunting with us. His very first pig hunt and he was able to bag a nice one.

And this one was his first hog also, on his first weekend of hunting pigs. Shot with a muzzleloader at 70 yards.

There are a lot of pigs this year on Vandenburg. Can't tell you how many pigs have been seen by my dad and his friend(first picture). Seems like every trip out they're seeing pigs. With this latest rain, things should really get better. Hope you guys enjoy!

Area's 2, 3, and 4 have been really good this season. Well.. good is an under statement.

My dad took another person out tonight and were able to get into them, and get one, in Area 3.

has anyone ever hunted the south end of base for pigs? every time I go up there I tell myself I am gonna give the south side a try but never get around to it. Seems like if you found a spot down there you would probably have it to yourself....

I've only deer hunted the south end. My guess would be if there are any pigs at all down there, they'd be off of Honda Rd down in that gully. That's some rough walkin' though. Alot of rattlers in that area too.
