Varmint Cartridges

1. In California, is it legal to hunt varmints - coyotes, jackrabbits, ground squirrels, etc. with FMJ bullets.

2. If you bag one, is it legal to let it sit, or do you need to eat it (wanton waste)?

jesunter, difinately not, also not wise, never know where or how far the will go. grew up in Calaveras and Napa Co.s and spent thirty years in Calaveras.

No where in the regs does it say you can't use FMJ...though I personnally do not recommend using, especially on jacks and ground squirrels; high possibility of ricohet.
