One of the best vid's I've seen in awhile. Love the filter work, adds flair.

Mind if I ask what camera and software your using? You got some amazing angles for being by yourself. How'd you do that?

FHL has a ton of hunters...and a ton of game. Way to many people in the field for me to feel comfortable about spending alot of time there. I've gone for the elk hunts, but otherwise....

Sorry switched my letters around, I was hunting 13w. 13e was a Jr hunt this weekend. My mistake, to set the record straight I was hunting in 13w, the Archery only walk in only area.

My mistake.

You can drive in 13W. It is not a "walk-in only, archery only" area.

It is now, Game warden and Jake in the shack say it was walk in only. Parking is along the main road or thats what they said. They may have changed it recently.

I use the Contour Roam for the majority of my shooting as well as my HTC Evo 4. I also make all of my mounts, some attach to my Bino bag others are tripods and others are stake like mounts that I can stick in the ground for shots.

Software wise I use Corel, but I am going to switch again. I tend to work faster than it can process, so it freezes quite often. So, if you want a good program get a Mac and Final Cut. Thats where I am headed some day.

You must be talking about 13A or 13B. Both are archery only and walk-in only and only open for hunting a few times a year. 13E is the old 30 which has always been shotgun, muzzleloader, and walk-in archery only. 13W splitted from the old 10/13 few years ago and have been toggled like all other areas on weapons. I remember the update on that weekend, 13W was muzzleloader, crossbow, archery for G8 and J10 tag holders.

I bow to the wisdom of those who have gone before us, yes 13A. I just checked the map I had in my truck. Sorry for the confusion guys.

OK, I don't have all the directions to the TA Entrances printed in Recon Hunt yet, but the scanned paper maps I posted do. Just separate your finger on the cell phone screen and the image will zoom-in so you can read it.

I have Training Area 7 finished with the directions. Remember, I'm doing this smart phone project for my college boy who still hunts pigs at FHL, and he wanted a GPS Icon on each Recon Hunt Map Screen.

The Application will goto the Icon, but you can enter the coordinates manually into your GPS before hunting if you are hunting without a smart phone. You were the first newbie hunting at FHL to use this new application, so there is a learning curve. Wait until you try to find some of the outer Entrances in the dark during deer season.

Go back and load the Recon Hunt maps and you will see the Entrance Icons on each Training Area.

Thanks for the video, because it brings Recon Hunt to life. When hunters are sitting at Starbucks playing with their smartphones they can watch your video.

Tony,

In order for your video to run inside the Recon Hunt Application with a smartphone it has to be a YouTube. However, the Cabela's/Trimble URL site will run it when I post the link under the orange Navigation Warning.

I will contact the engineers at Trimble about the link not being alive inside the smartphone application. We need that feature for the road and weather conditions while deer hunting. At present the application gives dead text that can't be cut and paste.

I put your link in TA-13E, but in plain text. My boy did the fancy orange warning. We have to wait for
Him.

Nothing special, the software has bugs and they are still working on it. Lets see what happens with a YouTube? When navigating that stuff doesn't show on the the Guide Map screen.
