GOT HIM ON OPENING DAY UNIT 52 IN NEW MEXICO WITH MUZZLELOADER LAST YEAR...IT IS 4X4 BULL...COULDN'T GET A CLEAR SHOT 6X6 BULL...TILL THIS BULL CAME OUT TO MY FRIEND'S CALLS

Congrats on the nice bull. I have been to CO 5 or 6 times. I got a cow with my bow a few years back. I have been close to some nice bulls, but I have not been able to get a good shot at them. The country out there in southern CO is awesome. I love just being out there. Had a great trip in October 2001 when I called in my dad's first elk. It was a small cow, but it was an awesome feeling to be the one to call it in for him. To be able to repay him just a little for all that he has done for me over the years. Thanks Dad!
I wish it could have been a bull, but an elk is an elk. You have to get your first one some time.
