Man, all those hunting stories really gets the blood pumping. Success isn't whether you make the harvest as much as it is just getting out and having a chance. Hunting Tejon is something I've always loved with a passion and hunting it with good company makes it only better. You guys ROCK in my book.

I'm on an archery only hunt this weekend with another group, my first time at Tejon. We are hunting the North. Any pointers?

I would ask the guide. They are there everyday making sure you have a chance at a pig.

Good luck!!!

Great storys! Glad to hear you guys had such a good time. My wife and I are heading up this weekend. Anyone going up? Hey Superduty, do you have a membership this year? My brother Jaehunt and I have met you up there before.

Skeefer: If I were you, I would take a few approaches. 1) Find large area's you can spot as the sun comes up. 2) Keep your eyes out for fresh sign and hunt that area hard. If the pigs aren't around then, hunt that area in the evening. 3) Make sure to climb down the backside of hills and down revines off the roads, often times the pigs will be right under your nose. There are a lot of pigs, but no matter what, lady luck always helps.

Howdy skeefer!

My group of 9 will be bowhunting the north side also this weekend. Where will your group be staying? We're at the Vaquero cabin. Come by and have a barley pop with us if you're in the neighborhood!

Sorry Dave (Q2Dude, didn't get back to the forum before we left. We stayed at the Cazador Cabin. Hunted the Tejon Canyon. Tons, I mean tons of sign but saw everything but pigs. Sat was cold and windy and foggy if you were at any elevation. Fri and Sun were summertime weather. No one in the group got a pig. Some saw a few but no shots.
What a beautiful place though.....

The trip was unguided, we did get some help from a few guys on the trip that had been there before.
