Well what a score for me this was.I got them just then from the local market(sunday morning).I haggled the guy down from $10 and he said "Just take the bloody things","I don't have a clue what they are"...

I saw them at 200 yards as soon as I got out of my from car.I gave a little silent airpunch and hiss, but didn't get to excited incase I could not afford them.

My first thought was they are a set of 2nd or 1st year caribu antlers.2nd year maybe?
But I'm sure they are caribu (rudolf perhaps?lol)

I would have went to $100 but I wasn't about to tell him that.he he he

Bloody rippers they are.

Great pic up TazBux!
Those are antlers from an Eld's deer or they are also called Brow-tined deer. They are from southeast Asia.

WOW.Cheers for the info.I did abit of searching (after reading your reply Deerslam) and they don't seem the most common deer on Earth. The words I saw were "Vunerable","Endangered","Extinct in some parts of their natural range".
What a score that was. It's a good size representation of the animal also.13.5 inch brows.I have to do abit of searching for a record book on these babies.I have never ran the tape over an asian species and it's quite exciting.

Yep they are a great addition to your collection TazBux.
They have some Elds deer in Texas, though I have never seen one on any of my 3 trips down there.
I would guess you are one of the very few to have a set of Elds deer antlers and for $7....what a steal!

BECAUSE I'M ANTLER NUTS

I paid $70 for a mule rack.$60 for the monster fallow horns(cheap as chips).
I have seen people pay much more for alot less(I sold a rancid small fallow scull for $150)+(4 small 1st year white horns for $100).I honestly thought they were caribu and was prepeared to go higher than 100 if another bloke was their(but their wasn't).

Knowing what I know now they are worth alot more to me than 100 bucks.
30 exist in captivity,180 in a national park,a few in Texas ranches. They are protected/extinct/endangered elsewhere.
