For hogs 270WSM, 300WSM, with good bullet construction, all hand load.
They dont go to far.:toast-yellow:

40 lb pitbull catches em quite nicely big or small and only tears up the ear!!!!

I hunt alot of depredation for hogs and use a 270, sometimes a 7mm just about all of the hogs i have shot with lead dropped in there tracks.

I use a 7mm wby mag. Working on a .308 as everyone else said shot placement but ill always take the little extra bullet to compensate for my imperfection.

I run hogs with hounds, so my shots are all up close and personal. I use a Marlin lever action .375 with a .357 Blackhawk on my hip. The rifle is an excellent brush gun for hogs and bayed bear and does the job very well. The pistol works, but is a tad bit too light for my tastes...can't afford to have my dogs too close to a wounded and pissed off boar.
