Last night on the Discovery Channel they had a special on the vikings.  In it they covered how the vikings destroyed the forrest of Iceland by introducing various domestic animals.  One of the animals on the film was a big furry pig with a straight tail.

Fishhead,

"Wild boar" in North America can vary pretty widely.  Most of the books will tell you that they're generally a cross between the Russian boar, an ugly black furred creature with a fairly straight tail, and domestic pigs which went feral.  As a result, you get all the different colors, sizes, and shapes... from the 250 lb tuskers around Hollister, to that 1000 behemoth from Texas.

First time I saw wild pigs in CA, I thought they were black calves, running over a ridge with their tails straight up in the air.

They look alot like Rosie O'donnell. Only the pigs have less hair and don't weigh as much.     Scott

I've heard that pigs with 4 legs don't hate gun owners as much as Rosie does. - just a rumor-

My little brother sent me a copy of a story off of Newsmax that stated the fall of K-mart might be due to Rosies stand on firearm and ammunition sales.

They aren't as mean as Rosie, either.

I think Rosie would scare the hair off of the ugliest hog. And make his Tusks fall out. I bet K-mart wishes they would have picked Tom Selleck as a spokesman. He could have been standing under the K-Mart sign with a rifle in his hands talking about how K-Mart supports outdoorsman & hunter education.
