IVE found that most camo patterns have too much BROWN AND BLACK while the seclusion 3d conifer

(this appears to be FAR darker and have far less green and TAN tones than it really is in the picture above BTW)

has a better MATCH of MOSTLY tan and green content to the area I normally hunt and
with some SNEAKY LEAVES ADDED, of the correct color to match the trees around the area I plan to hunt, it makes me damn near invisiable once Im in the shadows, now I hunt ELK on the thick timbered NORTH AND EAST slopes in the shadows so if you hunt a differant type terain of course youll want a DIFFERANT PATTERN

The only problem with that theory is deer and elk don't see brown, black or green. They see color differently than man. Also our eyes work differently at distance than up close.

ASAT and Predator are the best for breaking up your outline. IT may look weird but that's not what counts.

I'm with Spectr all the way.
Most of the photo camo is too DARK and makes a human appear as a black blob that does not blend in well, except in the dark timber. Here in the West ASAT, Predator or others that have mainly tans and light browns blend in better. These patterns don't fill in like most of the "tree pattern" brands. Contrast is the most important element of camoflage. Light against dark or dark against light. The colors don't matter as the mammels we hunt don't see color like the birds do.
Try this test before you spend any money: Pick a pattern and colors that match your hunt area, step back from the camo clothing and squint your eyes, if the pattern fills in it's going to do the same in the bush...

I have used ASAT camo for years. They way I look at it, Deer, Elk and Bears are not green for a reason. Their Tan, Brown, Grey, Black, and thats why I think the ASAT works so good. I also like the fact it does not make you look like a green blob at a distane.

FWI: I only ware it while Archery Hunting, I may ware the pants during a Rifle hunt with some type of Blaze Orange on top.

Predator hands down. I don't use it though because it is too expensive.

The other huge advantage with high contrast camo like PRedator or ASAT is if you're in a tree or you get skylined. This camo really shines when you look up at a skyline with it.

Of course, the smart hunters don't forget their military crest and get skylined right?
