You are buying those hogs at a local 4H club then spinning them like a planted Pheasant. There are no hogs on public land. LOL

Thanks for the update guys; I have hunters asking me all the time if there are any pigs left in our park because the total taken this season is only 12. This time last year it was 32.

I never give away any of your “secret” hunting spots (not like I would know where you guys hunt anyways just by looking at a picture of a random tree in the park) LOL! But, the official update from actual archery hunters who hunt at LS regularly is always appreciated.

Good luck this season!

No shot ops on this trip, but mark my words I will have a bloody arrow before the season ends.

Yeah I know, do the yearly passes expire in June.

At the same time your hunting license expires. Unless you want to hunt spring turkey and coyote, the hog only permit is only $25.

the prices seemed a bit confusing, 25 for a yearly hog pass. I will be sending my app in shortly.

You mail it in and wait about a week or two to get confirmation before you can go hunting. Or you can bring a "$45 money order" with you when you go and get your permit while you wait. 10 min wait.

Oh and don't forget to pickup a smoke pole if you don't have one.

can you use slug gun in the muzzle loader area or a bow. I guess this is an excuse to pick up a T/C Impact.

Some areas may open for archery, muzzleloader, and shotgun with bird shot only. No slug shotgun.

The way I hunt there is bring rifle, slug shotgun, muzzle loader, and bow when I go. I start in a more productive area (use what ever weapon allowed). Sometimes I will track some hogs to the boundary of another area. Go back to registration window and change area to the area where hogs head in. Change weapon to whatever is allow in the area, then back on the chase again.
