Bought point for Wyoming, hope to draw a tag next year and hunt a wilderness area outside Yellowstone. I think I have a good shot at a Utah bull tag (8 points) and applying for a rosie elk tag here in Calif. Considering applying for a New Mexico tag, but don't know the zones very well.

Idaho Unit 39. Nov 1-9. Hunting Elk in the snow with my rifle 2.5 miles downhill from the road. Thank god for horses, I hope they don't kill me this year.

I will be going to CO this year. Put in for either sex first season, cow tag second season and if I don't draw either of these then I'll just buy a bull tag over the counter.

Bowhunting the state forest 5 miles west of me. Not very good hunting at all, but its close enough for several afternoon hunts. Maybe I'll get to call in sick from hauling elk quarters back to the truck in the dark.
