Where have the non - IS telephoto primes gone to?

It appears that the non - IS primes have been discontinued? is that true? if so that's kind of a bummer.. I was starting to lean towards getting a non-IS 300 or 400 f/2.8, but cant find any listed for sale (other than used).

Anyone have some official word?

Have you checked B&H Photo? Bummer if that's true, I don't think I would buy another lens with IS since I've started shoot 95% of the time with a tripod (IS wont work on a tripod).

I don't see anything about Non IS lenses, but I know they still make several just not on the long end. Maybe up to 180mm???

Just buy the IS version and turn it off.......LOL
