Post up here where everyone will be elk hunting this year. Be nice to see the different states everyone is going to be hunting. After the season we can post how it went. Be nice to hear some of the stories that go along with the success or the almost ,and of course the one that got away. That's usally the case for me.
Also try to take pics of the scenery. Gives everyone an idea what you were up against.
look forward to hearing from everyone.

I myself will be hunting elk in utah.I have a general bull elk tag for any general elk area in Utah and I also have an anterless elk tag in the Heber area. I'll let you know how it goes.

Arizona early archery antlerless in 12 days. This is my first elk hunt and my first time to the area which happens to be where they had the bad wildfires just six weeks ago. Had to cancel
July 4th scouting trip because the forest was still closed. Anxious to see what I find and will definetly come back with stories and photos.

Good luck in Utah RoosterKiller!

elk and deer run concurrent in Oregon. So I'll be doing both. Have an invite to a ranch this year that I hunted last year. Taking a gamble and hunting the last 12 days of the season with hopes that the rut kicks in. I usually chase deer with elk as a target of opportunity so its not my forte. But it's always a kick in the pants.

I'll be hunting bulls October 22 - 26 in the Pecos Wilderness of New Mexico. Waiting to hear that the National Forest is open so I can plan a scout trip. I have never hunted this unit before, but have talked with a couple of guys and have done a lot of scouting on google earth. I will probably head to NM the end of September for a scout trip and want to check out some places to move to at the same time.

Its time to move out of SoCal, New Mexico and Oregon are on top of my short list. The wife and I are heading to Oregon to check some places out in August. Also want to look in Nevada and Colorado.

FHL antlerless for me in October. I haven't been to FHL for several years and am looking forward to seeing what changed and what's stayed the same. I understand the elk herd has grown quite a bit.

I'll be hunting elk the same place I have for the last 50 or so years; in my dreams. Good luck to the rest of you!

I have two elk tags this year, will be hunting elk in WY and the NM Gila... Would rather spread them out over two years, but that's the way the draws work. Some years nothing, some years overload:)

In September I will be hunting bull moose in Utah. In October I will be hunting deer and antelope in Wyoming. And the hunt I'm looking forward to the most in November I will be trying to fill my FHL muzzleloader bull elk tag. It's gonna be a busy fall.
