That's awesome dude! I love your season too! I'm glad you were able to find the match to that big boy and the ATL on the side by side stud is a phenominal photo. Congrats and keep them rolling
WOW.Brilliant fat horns. What a find.Them freshies are awesome. I think i'd air punch my arms off after finding them things.
Wich reminds me.Are there mounting kits about that don't require you to drill holes in the horns?
Awesome!!! Experiences like that are what help you continue when you have been at it for hours with no luck yet. Don't get too spoiled, I had a similar year about 3 (3 sets over 165) seasons ago and nothing has come close since. Hopefully this year, can't wait to get out. Great job so far!!!!
Those corn patch sheds, just makes a guys heart beat faster, doesn't it!!!!!WOW!!! I show some people the pics on here, they say stuff like "ya'whatever". They just don't get it,do they.....
I've been busy lately and haven't been getting in here. You've been busy adding some impressive antlers to your pile. That first set is just AWESOME!!
Glad you found the mate,no doubt it saved you alot of sleepless nights.Nothing wrong with picking that set up everyday,if for no other reason then to make sure it's not all just a dream.Their the kind of sheds that keep all of us out there looking.
Congrats on the finds of a lifetime!!
btw-that second set is pretty impressive too.I wouldn't mind finding just one this season like that.
Thanks for all the congrats guys. My season of dreams has stayed going but my computer is in the shop. I have some awesome pictures to post whenever it gets back. I found another 166" set which was 2 of 5 sheds laying within a hundred yards in the same wheat field. I found five in two minutes. I am worried something really terrible is getting ready to happen to me because life has been so good this year. So stay tuned for more great pics. Talk to you guys later, Matt
Okay here's the deal. I have been without my computer for about three weeks now (hard drive crapped out). I have a lot of pictures to post and I'm not posting anything small so it stays short. I have had an extremely wonderful year with lots of ups and down. I'm at 66 right now which is 24 more than my previous record. I want to get to 70 which shouldn't be to hard. Here go the pics.
The ten point set in the last post scored 166 gross. It has 11 inches of trash around the bases. All these pics in the wheat were within 100 yards of each other.
This shed season has been one of dreams and I have learned much from it. the most important thing I learned is hammer the open fields. I haven't walked any more than I ever have before this year But what I have done is walk open fields. I know it's boring to walk every other milo row but I have almost doubled my productivity by doing it. I know in the pictures they look like they stick out like crazy but a lot of those are two hundred yards from a tree and I walked by them a couple times before seeing them. You have to get within at least 75 yards depending on lighting to find those rascals, especially in row crops like milo and corn. No one wants to walk those fields but the guys who are smart will. This shed was found almost dead center of a section with nothing but fields and waterways. IF YOU WANT THE BONE HIT THE FIELDS!
Man your having a DREAM season on the sheds.Talk about finding gaggers,Wow.!!I hope you look til green up and maybe play the lottery.
Congrats a AWESOME season so far!!
