Look at the bones on that dude.

When you hunt big open country, that yardage seems to grow legs. Congrats on pinnin a good bull - in the snow no less! Schwiiing!!

Congrats on the nice bull Tom! I missed my opportunity at 300 yards. It is damn big country and long shots are more the rule than the exception...Way to go!

Great bull! I had a similar situation with my Kentucky elk hunt this past fall. My "guide" gave me that you ready look when we glassed my 7x7 at 545yrds. I decided to close the distance to 200 or less because that's my comfort zone (although I had practiced at the 400yrd. range in the weeks prior to the hunt and having a ballistics chart for my setup) 200yrds or less was my self imposed "ideal range." We put together a plan and I was able to send a single well placed 143yrd. shot through his vitals. As the saying goes:"A Mans' got to know his limitations" Congtats on your bull!
