Studmanbri, I wanted to get in on the first weekend that they had since the ranch had been closed for hunting, I probably won't be back for the superbowl weekend unless I get a hunt from my wife or parents for x-mas. Who know's I might be, either way, I will let you know how I do.
Thanks,
Medicjunebug, what will you be driving, I will be in a lifted white bronco with a lifted blue jeep cherokee following me around, Stop me if you see us and lets get a handshake. either way, good luck and your boy should really enjoy himself up there, Tejon is a special place where you can see a ton of animals and some great country side.
enjoy the crowds slated for 80 per side....my two cents... hunt the south side, im a fall access guy and i have been up there every friday for last 2 months on the north side and its gettin nasty already in higher elevations and been hunted pretty hard. i have been seein lots of hogs all over but the south side has been pressure free except for some deer!!! if any of u need some assistance let me know. i know that ranch better than most. good luck to all!!!!
Hey btrebil, I will be up there starting Monday and i will be leaving Friday. You won't be done that early. Let us know how it goes. I hope it's not crowded. If my timing is right i will stop by the check-in gate and say hi and show off the buck I'm gonna kill. I'm hunting the whole week so I'll have something to show off... I would have gone that weekend but it was the same time as the M7 tag i drew and the season is only 2 weeks long. Good luck, maybe I'll see ya!
I'll be driving a white Chevy HD 2500 crewcab with Firefighter plates, Its my Boys first Hog Hunt and I know he's expecting alot with the closure, I'll have my work cut out for me if its as crowded on the South side as I've heard its going to be? I'll look for ya at check in! John
jgasman661, call me when your heading up, I know we're really looking forward to it. I had a chance to tour the ranch a couple of weeks ago and it's looking good. Pretty much throw a stone and you'll hit a pig. Good luck to all and don't be disappointed when I win the big pig pot...
Lots of pigs on the ranch from what I was told by my friend of mine. Should be a good hunt if the roads stay dry. More hunters the better, the pigs will be on the move. Good luck to everyone. I am going in April.
My son was picked on the draw for 7th. Lucky college kid! luckily he is taking me. This will be our first time hunting Tejon. We would appreciate any helpful information.
