Get to the top of the hills and glass the thick stuff, look for any canyon with thick cover surrounded by rolling grass lands watch them coming in and out of the thicket and you'll have a good shot at one. It's not that hard to find pigs on Tejon, kick over a rock and you'll fine one. If by saturday afternoon you still haven't found any luck come and see me and I'll give you a couple of spots to try.

I'll be on channel 7 on my CB if anyone wants to chat at the ranch.

If you didn't get a call today, then your draw results will say "unsuccessful" shortly, they made calls to all the winners today and us loosers that didn't get draw are held in limbo unless you call in and ask about it.

My son was picked on the draw for 7th. Lucky college kid! luckily he is taking me. This will be our first time hunting Tejon. We would appreciate any helpful information.

Look forward to meeting some of you.

I assume they sent him an email with the good news? For some reason the dfg site still says "pending".

No, they made calls this morning, I spoke to Victoria at the DFG and she said if you were successful they would have called this morning and if not, better luck next time.

I think we had 50+ one hunt up there and the ranch had plenty of room to spread out. 80 seems like a lot though.

Good luck to those going, that's going to be a blast. Make sure and take a good camera if you've never been there, you'll see all kinds of critters running around up there.

I have done some day work as a cowboy on the ranch. We were gathering some of their more wild cows. My horses are used to pigs but some of the other guys had a rough go with their horses spooking at all the pigs. They were everywhere!! My horse did take a second look at the hugh elk that busted out of the brush and almost jumped in our saddlebags. From what I experienced there shouldnt be any problems finding pigs in the canyons and brush. We made several pushes on horses down the thick draws and for every cow we saw about 20+ pigs run out. Good luck!!

Pretty cool place. Huge variety of wildlife, especially birds of prey. Thank you, SHARE! Knowing what it is now, I'd go back again as a paying customer. Very fun weekend. We went 1 for 2, bud's Savage didn't feed when he worked the bolt. On two seperate times! Coolest thing was the condor on my pigs gutpile when I went back the next day to pick up a couple of things I forgot to put back in my pack...

Dawg, didn't realize that you were from Jesse's when I struck up a conversation opening day. That was a nice pig you got. Too bad that group of 25 I chased in the same area as yours never materialezed again, although it turned out good for me in the end too.. Great condor photo too. Guess it's a good thing you used copper.... Anyway, good to meet you and your bud!!!

Get my boar back from the butcher this week. Lots of good eats expected....

That must be on the North side huh? Does anybody know how many hogs were taken on the North side? I know only 20 were taken on the South.
