Wild Hog adventures April hunt

Hey Chopper, I have to work until 5pm on Wednesday then head home and put the rest of the gear into the truck. My guess is I will be pulling out of SF right at 6pm. Getting to the gate by 8 might be tight but it will be close. I'll call you on the cell enroute when I get a better idea of arrival (basically once I clear San Jose by about 15 miles traffic should be fine). Just a heads up.

Chopper, I can get there any time. So if you need a gateguard, just let me know. I can bring the quad and take care of the late comers also.

Well it sounds like the MARCH boys left the door wide open for some APRIL Piggies! I've go two more LONG days of work before a much needed vacation.

A huntin' we will go...a huntin' we will go...hi ho the dairio a huntin' we will go!

Hi ho...hi ho...to Choppers place I go!

Clothes washed in scent free soap then packed in air-tight storage container - CHECK
7 knives sharpened enough to shave hair - CHECK
Broadheads sharpened and shaving hair - CHECK
All broadheads matched to arrows to spin perfect with no wobble - Check
Final sight in and tuning of bow - CHECK AND CHECK (BH's hit with the FP's out to 50)
All gear packed and sitting ready to throw in truck - CHECK
Booze, ice and grocery run - Tuesday night after work
Done work and ready to go - DOH !!!! 2.75 days of work to get through !!!!!

Lots of piggies left to shoot and the moon will not be such an issue for our hunt, it was full on Thursday I think.

Alright I think I am ready to go. Here is what I am bringin FOOD wise:

Tamales and Enchiladas to compliment Bubba's grub Thursday & Friday.
Babybacks for Saturday night...can someone pick up sides: potatoes (for mashers or just potatoe salad will work...JD?) and corn and beans? I will bring lunch stuff for myself and I think BDB is bringin breakfast stuff for everyone.

Does that cover food?

What time yall planning on arriving at the gate?

Sounds good to me. If no one has ponied up for the corn and rice and taters by Wednesday morning, I'll bring them too. I also bring some elk sausage for breakfast.

Hey folks,
We March hunters felt charitable andl left some hogs for you to find.
Just follw the truck tracks in the road and it will lead you to where the hogs are.
Follow the boot prints from there.


Looks like you will have a good hunting conditions.
Don't forget the drag rope.

For you first timers, you will be in good company.
Listen to what the return hunters have to say.
Put a transmitter on AS and follow him around.
He's like the pied piper of hogs.

I can see it now. We all head into the woods at o-dark-thirty and then hide and wait for Ass Shooter to head out then we secretly follow him to his location.

Should be a funny sight with him slinking around the woods and 7 other hunters following him and ducking behind trees every time he thinks he hears something behind him

I give him full props for his skills and success at Choppers. He whacks 'em dead.

Another idea would be to not hide the crown. Keep on pouring them for him until he gives those secret spots up involuntarily

I will be at the gate to get you guys onto the ranch. I need to know when you can make it. Lets try to get as many of you there at a specific time. We'll get a second time for stragglers... I can be there as early as 4:00 pm. This is for tomorrow, Wed. If your coming Thursday, give me a time for that also.
