Ok, it's that time again!

Same deal as last time, I need 10 people to confirm this hunt for $400 from mid day Friday - Sunday 1:00pm. Dates are Friday October 7th to Sunday October 9th.

Camping on property and we get the entire ranch to ourselves. you CAN NOT bring quads. Transportation will be provided by George and myself for those who wish to hunt with me, I can take two.

Hunt is weapon of choice, your decision.

I have 5 spots as of right now being held for returnees.

At this time, I only need names just to lock this hunt in. I will get the rest of the information and deposits later.

Note: Once this hunt is filled, I will be collecting hunters information and deposits of $200. Deposits are NON refundable.

We will cap this hunt at 13.

For those who don't know about this hunt. It takes place on 22,000 acres of private property that borders Lake Sonoma, just outside of Healdsburg. This is a semi guided hunt, spot and stalk. George will take you to places where he has seen the most sign, give some suggestions on how to hunt the area, then your on your own. Last years hunt was a great success, with hogs spotted by all hunters. I think there were close to 100 hogs spotted for the entire trip.

No, it's the Cooley Ranch. Hunts are ran by George Mavrakis of Wild Pig Hunting Inc.

What is the closes, average and longest distance you guys have spotted pigs on this ranch?

I have seen hogs from 50 to 500 yards. Most of my shots have been between 100 and 200 yards. If your limited on range, then just put the stalk on and get closer.

Hi Mel,
I think I'm in, but I'll probably arrange a dog hunt. I'm still going to hesitate though, since I'm looking at Deer Hunting this year, and have yet to choose my backup zone for my first tag (didn't get the draw, and partner's dragging his feet on committing). I'm hoping to see a better year than last, but I know it's fulla pigs, cuz I saw them at a great distance.

Sounds like a great trip. Mel...Why no quads this year? I remember in years past you could bring one just to use to and from your hunting spot...

Pro953, glad to have you back. Maybe we can pull another double....

The reason for no quads is due to an accident the happened 2 years ago, one guy rolled his quad trying to follow George and broke his shoulder. He made some comments to George that didn't sit right with him, so last year he told me no quads. George has insurance to cover things like this, but he doesn't want the hassle or have someone get seriously injured.

Count me In. Last year I shot a good sized boar at 15 yards. This ranch is crawling with pigs. I might even spend the night this year.
