Depending on if another hunt happens or not, I may be able to jump in at the last second. Would that be possible Mel?

Should be ok, I have another person who may jump in later as well.

Just got back from the range again. Muzzle loader is dead on at 200 yards. Only 1 month left, man this is going to be a long month.

Anyone doing any preparation for the hunt? I bought a new pair of Danners, hitting the shooting range to get dialed in, still need to do some exercise to try and drop a few pounds. 3 weeks left!

I just picked up a couple new guns at a screaming deal. One is a Winchester over under and the other is a weatherby in 300 win mag. I have to figure out some optics but I think that's what I'll be using this year

what!!?

a winchester 101?!!

I think we'll have a really good time together if we eat as a group. I would be willing to slow cook some pork ribs on Friday and then we could just heat them up Saturday night. Costco sells three full racks for $30. If everyone wanted to split the cost I will pay my share and do the cooking. Then I think if we had beans and salad that would make a great dinner and a good opportunity to sit around the table as a group and tell stories rather than everybody doing his own thing. Mel do you know if we definitely have the camp ground.

Also I just got back from a backpacking hunt in the Sierras. I bought a lightweight water purifier. I suggest everybody buy one. It will allow you to lighten your water load in your pack because you can refill with all those springs out there

Getting everyone together is a great idea but sometimes much harder then it sounds, I made fajitas for everyone one year and it was a chore. Lol

I asked George and he said we would have the camp ground this year.

Hey Fug maybe you can make something with that squirrel you got today. I'll definitely bring some sausage from last years pig. I'll need to make room in my freezer....

Are you guys talking Big horn cyn ranch in Hemet? I have hunted there kind of disappointing. The hogs are farm raised you can find one tie a rope to it and bring it back. we made the hunt fun by finding one that was bedded down in a very steep ravine. I did have fun though and the helper was very nice.

This isn't the big horn ranch. This is in Sonoma county and is all fair chase.

It's the real deal. The place is big and there are plenty of real hogs there.

You might wanna leave the beans out with 13 dudes hanging out , thats a lot of butt trumpeting . Place would smell like a raw sewage plant
