I hunted Sonoma today, no pigs, but saw George on the road on my way out. He said his dogs were at home in the warmth sleepin and healing. He did say hunters have been getting pigs regularly at the ranch.

I am getting excited about getting back up there. Can't wait!

TRA, it will great to hunt with you again. I think the last time we hunted together it was at Chopper's place.

Mel, I totally spaced out on getting the hog tag, I will be sure to get that to you this week.

Just to let everyone know, my wife will be baking some of her good luck cookies (pumpkin-chocolate-chip) for everybody. When she makes these cookies, I usually bring something (pig, deer, etc..) home 9 times out of 10.

sounds like a plan. Pigs, Tequila, cookies, homebrew ( I was thinking of either a Pale Ale or a Moosehead type of beer). Should be an epic trip.

i just got out of extra work tomorrow. i may take the wife for a leisurely hike at lake sonoma tomorrow. she is definately a good luck charm

Man.... I wish I was going to back to that ranch again. My bro and I hunted that ranch 2 years ago with Mr. Ken Whitiker. We got charged by a huge boar and it took 3 shots to take him down at less that 25 yards. The first shot was a perfect heart shot but the boar kept coming. The second and third shot took out both front legs. My bro stood there shaking after that event. One advice.... if it's cold in the morning, go check out the barns but be careful..... you may be in for a close encounter. Good luck guys....
