Thanks Sancho. PM or email is the way to go on getting info from me until I hear from the administrator about specific policies.

19 days left!! Going to pack my gear this weekend and get it all set up in the garage. Head to the range probably next week, get everything all fine tuned. My badlands 2200 will be here this week, get a bladder for it, play around with it to see what goes where and I'll be ready to roll. :smiley-mouse:

mel. i thought you were packing last weekend ;)

i bought a used tent, and i promised myself to set it up, just to see if it is any good. nope. wife got me planting tomatoes and flowers. i did kick my matrix darkhorse ground blind up, and that was easy. (maybe i can sleep in it). i have a few tents. i just need to get off my lazy butt.

like a MORON, i thought it was a good idea to take my bowsight off at the range yesterday. i wanted to move it closer to my eye to make it fit the circle of my peep better. deeeerrrr! nope, i but it back ( i need to go one size smaller in peep sight), and had to reset my 2nd and third axis. right when the sun was going down, i drove two arrows into a postage stamp sized post-it. i promise not to mess with it until our hunt. it will be hard, i have new bowstrings coming in.. i am O.C.D.

I might start packing this weekend, might. I went to the range on saturday, got the bow dialed in at 25 yards now :smiley-mouse: As long as I'm able to shoot within 25 yards I'll be good to go. It took about 30 shots before I got tired to start shooting off target.:archer green:

559, what broadheads did you go with? you will need to sacrifice one and shoot it into your target. keep in mind that most shooting ranges frown on broadheads hitting their targets. therefore, if you shoot at a range, you need to bring your own target. you need to see where the broadhead hits. with luck and a properly tuned bow, nothing will need to change.

There are some nice mechanicals out on the market that shoot the same as your practice tips. I have some Trophy Ridge Undertakers. I am thinking about upgrading to some Grim reaper razor tips. I don't like the rubberband on the undertakers.

I have 100 grain G5 Montecs. I also have "The Block" lol, so I'll be shooting into that later today :). I know the range I go to won't let me shoot broadheads into their targets :(. The G5's say the shoot just like field tips lol, they're lying to me now!

wow, isnt it so much fun getting ready for a hunt! not that i need any more hunting equipment or clothing for any hunts, i was thinking about taking a m/c bike ride up to Manteca this afternoon to check out the new Bass Pro shop and still spend some dollars on stuff i dont really need. would like to try the Rage 2 broadheads and see how they fly with my set up. my main heads i shoot now are the grim reaper razor tips, also have some G5's Montecs and some nasty 2" Razorcaps.
yep, a couple of more weeks we will be hunting some toothy toofer's and i cant go home with out a pig this time! i really look forward to sharing this hunt with everyone and hopefully it will be a successfull trip for everyone on the hunt, and good times!..........................tra

Square?? I have no idea what that is lol. Oh and yes, there is a basspro in Manteca now. Sadly, that's the closest one and it's over 100 miles away lol. I love the atmosphere there, my first time going to one was 2 years ago in Bossier, LA, I didn't want to leave haha. Whenever I go to the bay area, I purposely drive up the 99 then get off on the 120 just to see the bass pro lol.

ask Ken to take you guys to the "bowl." tell him we didn't intend to hold him up all night that one Sunday, two years ago. fortunately, luck came to us late and it took us all night to drag 8 pigs down that mountain... hehe.

Sancho,
Turkey will be out of the question. The lease on this property is only for hogs. Too bad, this ranch has a ton of turkeys, deer and hogs.

I think someone by the name Muddy_udders hunted that bowl back in the end of Jan. and saw one lone boar at the ridge top with not enough light to get to it. But that one night you mentioned was one hell of a overtime for Ken. It dragged him to retirement right afterward. Hell it made me aged two years ahead. But it was a night to remember......hehe.
