If you were there last Friday, well, you’ll never forget it. To see, hear and feel the en-masse fly-out of unbelievable thousands of snowgeese — even once in your life — can change the way you feel about what is possible. Those who visited the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge last Friday, to be exact, at ###11:10 a.m. and 12 seconds, had that once-in-a-lifetime experience. My sister, Susan Vance, caught the event with her camera. For her husband, Tom Vance, it was the ultimate birthday present.
