Well, the time has come and I'm packing to leave in the morning for my tule elk hunt. It starts on monday so this will give me about 3 1/2 days to find a good bull and pattern him.
Back in july I saw one with a 10"+ drop tine. I got a call yesterday from a local that said the period one tag holder bagged an 8x8 yesterday at 7:30am, that was opener.
He told me that he saw the drop-tine bull but he had broken a point. I just hope he's not too broken up by monday.

Glass eye is a good friend of mine and my taxidermist. spoke with him last night be for he closed shop and he was extremely pumped up! lol cant wait to see what he brings back.
