The gray wolf designated OR7 has remained in California since he crossed the state line on Dec. 28. The California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) closely monitors the wolf’s position and progress, and will report on his status through a new website at www.dfg.ca.gov/wolf/.

No doubt that he found the wintering area, and that he'll be eating well. My guess is that he"ll be staying put for a while, in that game rich area.

the only thing that is going to keep a wolf there is food and a piece of tail. There are no females for him there. He can only go so long without tail.

people say theyve seen wolves there before maybe there is a small pack of wolves that stay out of sight

DFG states that they are Hybrids (dogs/wolves), but who knows...
