X-mas gift

Well my wife has been hiding all clues about what im getting for christmas but i think ive got it figured out. She told me its big (meaning price), shes going in on it with my parents. She had been talking to her dad about it alot so originally i was thinking air compressor and tools but when she started talking to her sister it really threw me off until i got on this thread tonight. Her sister is a landscape architecte who is really into photography and my father in law is a VP for lockheed martin and he is a electronics junky. Its the only thing they have in common.

I know get to the point, I think its a digital SLR

I was right just had a early gift exchange with the parents and I got a digital rebel xt. Now to get the lenses that I want. My wife said I have to go and get one before xmas so I can take photos of my daughter. Im stoked.

Congrats on that. I was hoping for the same, but no luck. Guess I will have to start saving for it after my pig hunt in March....
