X7B 2014 Deer Season

Hi Folks. Drawn for X7B. Hunted yesterday around Verdi Peak and the east side of Boca. Didn't see anything to get too excited about. Any others hunt this area and have a recommendation of places to check out?

Same here, dry down low, water puddles up high . Saw 4 forked horns and about 6-8 does. Going to go higher later in week, hopefully it cools down a bit.

I hunted the areas mainly on the east side of boca as well. Went all over boca ridge, boca springs, and the country high and low above the gun range with only finding forked horns and a small three point. Saw very little sign in those areas as well. I even spend one morning on the northwest shore of stampede hiking and glassing through that country only to turn up a few does. Ill be heading back up for the last weekend to try one last time. Any one know of a general area to focus my efforts on during the final days of this hunt. The biologist had mentioned the dog valley area is where they ultimately end up, but with the warm weather i wonder if there will be anything down that far by then. I would appreciate any info or past experiences as i am open for trying anything when i return the last weekend. Thanks
